I started on it yesterday, there's no textures just yet, and I've not worked on the inner cables and gear-works of the belly or tail; only the outer shell segments are formed. When it's done it will be textured and rigged for animation.

Nice. Can't wait to see it grow.

PS Ammo belts? Part of 'gear-works'?

Yes, and any dangling hoses.

Edit:
A minor update... I added the ammo belts and the base interior of the belly & tail.

What's the count with the outer shell only?

With everything (seen above) and subsurfaced: 34895
Just the subsurfaced shell with no belly and no guns: 27417
With No subsurfacing the shell is: 6900
*Un-subsurfaced, the belly and tail interior add 46 faces

I will increase the poly count when I'm ready to generate a Normal Map; and reduce it (from the current count) if I plan to import it into UDK or Fallout 3/NV.

I haven't had a chance to work on this in a week, but I hope to have some kind of an update by the weekend.

Long hiatus; spent time working on a Power Armor mod, but I started on this one again (only just).

I'm experimenting with the animation rig (non-functional at the moment); I'm still rigging it, and the pistons on the feet have been tricky for me. I am a Unity3D [complete] novice and will need to learn what works and what doesn't, if I want to try it out in the engine.

Oh man, that's awesome. It'll definitely give me a reason to start a new char on New Vegas if you add it to OWB.
