Sure they may have to deal with diplomacy, maybe they even get involved in setting up a trade deal with a neighbouring town. But these are asides. The team's main duty IMO is solving problems and bringing Ranger Law to the Wasteland. So whilst trade and business is very important to the concept of rebuilding civilisation, our team are not the ones direclty involved in the business. Our team are the ones clearing the way so the business can be done without risk to life and limb or strongarm tactics.
I think that warrants a huzzah. Huzzah!
I always figure that trade routes would be already established and traders already set up prior the the Ranger's involvement. I mean, trading comes right after permanent settlements are established, the Rangers would be competing against established opponents, that's just a bad business model. What the Rangers provide is law, order, and putting the boots to totalitarian regimes. Because that is something that hasn't been established, unless you want Guardians to take the neck stepping to 11(Which will probably be an option).
