What is the best console ever?


Xbox 360 Or PS3

It depends what factors and conditions determine what's "best". If we determine it by the enjoyment of the games we played on it, I'd personally say Sega Saturn.

While there are a few gems on the PS3 and 360, I was mostly disappointed with the overall selection of titles released on those systems. I've had far more fun on the Wii than I have on both of those systems combined. I'm scared to think about how many hours I've pumped into that little machine.

Love my 360 but the most magical day ever was when my cousins got a Super Nintendo, Street Fighter, Super Mario Bors, and Mortal Kombat. We essentially wore our thumbs down to little bloody nubs making that little plumber hop around after that fucking stupid princess who couldn't quit getting kidnapped or beating the Bejesus out of each other in MK and SF.

Recently when the new MK came out we took turns spelling each other and working through the storyline. What a royal first class bitch it could be and it was rewarding but I found myself thinking of my SNES that's tucked away with all the MKs. Great execution but they fail to spark the same fanatic love I felt as a kid.

I have fond memories with my Megadrive II, but I only keep the PS2 (with PS1 games too), just because there are the best games for me, those who fits me the most and were honest yet...

The Nintendo DS was the best console ever. Between the 360 and the PS3, the 360 was the least disappointing of the two.

I still love the Commodore 64, though it was more of a computer.

I'm around 50/50. I play some games on my 360, some on my PC. Never get worried over graphically superiority, etc. Some games like GTA IV or Read Dead Redemption I feel work better on a console (for me), others like Fallout 3, FNV, any sort of strategy game, etc...all work better via PC for me. If there's one thing I hate it's folks on either side triyng to prove some sort of superiority by touting system A over systems B, C, or D.

Still, my favorite has to be the old SNES. I can still plug it in and spend hours on Zelda: A Link to the Past, or Mario Kart...sorry Wii, the old Mario Kart is and will always be where it is at. Ultimately MK, SF, and Super Mario Bros are my favorites. Hands down, no holds barred. I loved those games, love them still. My cousin and I could spend days, and still would if we didn't have to live in adultland, playing SNES.

I am having PS2, so i usually playing games on that but i think PS3 is better option for today. I am really need to buy than others like XBO 360.

I love the Sega Genesis/Megadrive. Still own one and a ton of games. I also own an old cheap-bought PS but I rarely play anything on it. I pretty much left consoles when Sega did.

Sega Genesis.

When my original was damaged in a move, I went on ebay to buy a new one and bought a NIB Sega CDX.

Without it, what the hell would I play my NHL, Madden, Out of This World, Flashback and other favorites from high school on?
