Let's help those out who may not be familiar with the Wasteland world, or may be only familiar with Fallout. What was Wasteland?!

I was cleaning up my 'junk' room this evening and I found among old cell phones, old computer parts and other assorted old stuff...a loot bag.

I really do wish I still had the box. And no, I don't have a 5 1/2 inch drive connected to my laptop. I can't remember the last time I even saw one.

Ah, back when EA had a cool logo, went by their full name, and weren't loathed by gamers everywhere.

The manual and paragraph book are a lot bigger than what was released in the Australian version. Ours was cut down to pocket sized versions. I purchased the C-64 and PC versions and both were pretty much identical.

Also I don't think the album style cover (or an actual cardboard box for that matter) was ever released here. We got some plastic cover that actually had a slot in it for the tape games that were still somewhat in use at that time.
The biggest failure in the recent past is this assumption that the audience is not smart.Too much effort is being spent making it dummy proof..all the clues are being held right in front of their nose. The exploration and journey is the reward

A few years back I had an email conversation with a developer (one of the five guys from Binary Systems) who hinted at how EA treated developers back in 1986. EA was just as despicable back then. I guess it took a while for gamers to find out how much damage EA did -- and continues to do -- to the video game industry.
