They all ready have to make a likeness of 100 or more people I doubt they want to do anymore :O lol At some point they have to make an actual game.

I didn't even manage to contribute already. Damn!
I'm sure there are many more people still ready to put some cash in Wasteland 2.
We'll beat Schafer record for sure :)

I still plan on contributing a bit of my next paycheck once I get it, maybe the excess will result in an all-the-more massive game?

Congrats to us all. I honestly haven't ever been so stoked for a game to be made.

Now, we get to see how true to his/their word Brian and inXile will be. Honestly, if it was anyone else other than THIS team, I'd never have even have remotely considered backing this -- with a possible singular exception of CD Projekt Red who have massively impressed me in the last couple of years.

I am already having a hard time on deciding who to gift the extra copies I will be receiving!

sorry, i just have to say it: WOO HOO! WL2!!! FINALLY!!!!

Why do I have this running through my head?!?!

Also, from the original Clash of the Titans, a slight alteration of a quote from the end of the movie:

Publisher: Fargo has won. inXile has triumphed.
Developer: A fortunate young man.
Developer: Fortune is ally to the brave.
Publisher: What a dangerous precedent. What if there more heroes like him? What if courage and imagination became everyday mortal qualities? What will become of us?
Publisher: We would no longer be needed. But, for the moment, there is sufficient cowardice, sloth and mendacity down there on Earth to last forever.

I noticed that as well, and posted a note to that effect in the Kickstarter project page comments. I realize they can't revise the description after the fact, but that tier honestly needs something more added to be enticing, even with the exclusivity of the exploded blood sausage offering.

Or for all I know, it's actually worth the money because the "blood sausage" is actually animatronic, and can reassemble and then re-explode at the push of a button?

Postby madmax » March 15th, 2012, 7:52 am

Amazing! And yes we have waited enough! Finally a sequel and InExile can count on me to back the Wasteland 3,4,5,...,145 or so or when I die depending on which comes first ;)

The goal for the Wasteland 2 project is $900k to get the game started, combined with a $100k investment from you, for a total of $1M. Amazingly enough (but not surprisingly), that $900k goal was reached after less than two days. Do you have plans set up for what you'll focus on expanding first if the funded amount goes to $2M? $3M? Beyond?

Assuming we go way beyond the goal we will continue to balance adding more content and other formats. We have already committed to Linux/Mac at $1.5 million so I imagine there could be a tablet version after that. But the most important thing is that we don't compromise the PC version in any way shape or form for other formats. The fans have entrusted us to create the right kind of game. This truly was the best way for this game to have been funded.

Interesting quip from the Joystiq article. Does this mean we might get a Wasteland 2 on the iOS? While I like the idea of getting this out to as many platforms as possible, I really hope the devs work on things like voice acting and a bigger game world first. We'll see how this ends up.
