Kickstarter reward questions are being asked

Postby Joby » May 16th, 2012, 2:00 pm

We are slowly rolling out some initial questions for the Kickstarter reward tiers. These are not final, we just need to start collecting some info to get an idea of what we might be in for. (regional ESRB ratings and distribution, preferred in game items/locations/etc) Please fill out the info ASAP... but KEEP IN MIND... we will be developing an online system for everyone to manage their information and update their information right up until the last minute. We will use this info to help continue and develop our business plan, but we will follow up at a later date and you will be able to update this information later (especially shipping address).

NOTE TO PAYPAL DONORS: We will be collecting your responses in this new online management system that will be developed and made live later. These Kickstarter questions and answers will help us develop the system and you will be providing your information at a later date. Do not worry!

Thanks!

Soooo if I tell you I'm from Germany I wont get a censored version or if, I could still tell you at a later date that I moved to the US, correct?

What do you guys ask for in Special Notes? I donated $30 and I didn't understand what I need to put there.

What exactly does "for rating purposes" mean? I generally loathe entering my country anywhere because then websites/companies/whatever try to give me "localized" stuff I don't want at all.

EDITED - OFFICIAL WORD:

The country you put down in the survey has nothing to do with the version of the game you are going to download 18 months from now. It is just a survey because we need to know all the countries we are selling it into. Please give us honest answers.

Some people have special needs and wish to add extra notes, however, we did not realize all fields are required so we didn't include this field after that. If you have nothing to put, just put in "none" or "NA"... whatever... we'll get the hint.

No need to worry about that, at least not if you backed for a physical copy. Imports usually don't get prematurely censored ;) .

I'm glad we'll be able to change our responses later if desired... I would like to be able to see all the shirts and what the poster, coin, and box are like before I decide which of the two sets I want... The poster design (and somewhat the size) will probably be a big factor in that.

Presumably there will be a special notes field in your new system?

Hmmm Are people submitting there real names or their forum nicks in the special thanks area?

I am going my real name, but most on these forums will know me as Woolfe obviously.

Not important just curious as I had a moment of thought about it.

I was tempted to type in a joke name like "Holden Sachs" into the special thanks area, but I resisted.

Ok I have a question as well.

I am also from germany and I really really dont want to have a censored version. So is it ok if I write that I live in the US since its an digital copy anyway or must I use correct informations to get my digital copy later?

Ditto, especially since I'll probably be moving between now and Oct 2013.

How about [Name] "Woolfe" [Last name]? That's probably what I am going to aim for if i get in there.

EDIT: With "Harpo" of course - for my entry! I'm not aiming to steal your nick :P

With regards to the choice of NPC/Weapon/Location naming, can you specify what type of said thing you would like it to be?

Eg, Tom Smith [Street]/[Hobo]/[Pistol]

Or will this come later, along with the Tshirt sizing?

Hi,
I just wanted to check that the possibility of upgrading our pledges via the store is still on the cards (I was $50 short of getting a T-Shirt at the time of the deadline), and if so, who I be able to amend my survey later to include my shirt size etc.?
Thanks in advance :)

There's been a number of similar questions related to this... so let me answer them all at once...

We are in the process of developing an online system for everyone (Kickstarter and PayPal) donors to manage their accounts. This includes shipping information as well as donation levels and reward tier information. You will also be able to use our donor only online store to upgrade your rewards. This will take a little time to setup, but luckily we have a decent amount left (about a year and a half) before all of this needs to be finalized... so don't worry!

Please fill in your info in the current set of Kickstarter reward questions as best you can, but knowing that you will have plenty of time to edit this later. PayPal folks, we will collect this data from you when this online system is live... so don't worry.

Fill out the info as best you can so we can get an idea of the scope of the rewards.

Here's our official word on game versions and the "country" field in our survey:

The country you put down in the survey has nothing to do with the version of the game you are going to download 18 months from now. It is just a survey because we need to know all the countries we are selling it into. Please give us honest answers.
