I'm a fan and I would like to pledge $115, but will only do so after they announced, that native GNU/Linux support is guaranteed upon reaching a specific funding goal.
overreactor wrote:Maxztt, you can pledge the $115, the moment you pledge, nothing will be charged to your credit card, that will only happens 33 days from now, and if the project gets fully funded. In the meantime, at any point in time actually, you can "MANAGE YOUR PLEDGE", it's a big button that appears after you pledged, so you can increase or decrease in whatever quantity you'd like. You can even completely cancel your pledge if the Linux support is not available.
So my sugestion: make the pledge now, keep looking for the updates, if Linux support is no available by the end, simply take your pledge off and keep your money.

Yes, I know how it works. But I want to make it very clear to the developers, that my pledge is gained due to the addition of GNU/Linux support. So once they announce it, my pledge is in. (Obviously even if it's below the sum that would be required for the GNU/Linux support, since I'd obviously want the funding to reach that point.)
I basically want a "We will definitely do it if we get enough money".
Right now it's a "We might do it if our chosen engine supports it, maybe.".
If I'd pledge right now it'd not have the same effect. (I guess they have statistics about the number of pledges and how they raise, broken down to certain site updates and so on)
Also there is the danger that I forget about the pledging, and then end up with a 100 dollar Windows/Mac game, that I can't really use in the way in which I want to use it.
