Hello all... again!

I think i'm formed the little tradition - before main painting i I publish the vignettes. I'm not going to break tradition. Little cards with the Wasteland 2 logo.

Big poster is coming. How big? 6000х3000px where each pixel - the real post-nuclear dream. As always - absolutely free. And one more - some people ask me to place on the picture slogans, logos and funny signs on the good memory. I made it.

Stay on line!

Hey Rick, that is correct English. I suppose you could say 'Night at the Lion-7', but really it's up to you. I like the title!

P.S.
If you want receive maximum feelings of wasteland change your picture to full screen mode and look at paint on the dark background. White color in your browsers is not color of wastelands. White color is a wasteland killer. )

Wow! What can I say except flat-out incredible? This is what Rivet City always should have looked like in my opinion. Everything from the setting to the color kicks much ass!

I see 'no fate' got a perfect spot right next to the entrance (it's very cool to be included in the art). Thanks for the high res copy too - I'll have to print this one for sure.

Also, since we've taken so much of your artwork for free is there any way we can donate and support the cause? :D

When i made this paints a think how really must looks the good games. The developers - loafers and idlers (laugh). Just kidding. But...

Many concept-artist made very impressive concepts every day. But in-game we often look on many bored structures.

Why?

Because designers affraid to made unique and perfect location. Each location take a lot of time on development. If one man do it perfect location in game what do others? They must do it perfect locations too.
It's a universe of time on development.

So developers used technology also known as "limited quality on all game". It's working and games no delayed. I always want to make similiar location in games but always heard answer - it is too expensive, we can not afford it.

Only few developers on this planet have opportunity to make games as they wants. They have a lot of money, lot of time and lot of hard workers. Rockstar, ID, Blizzard... we know their names. :D

P.S.
With donation or without i'm all the same to do it. It's... i don't know why. But i love that. Wasteland, sand, rusty piece of crap... i need to paint this. It's a way. ) Way of the wasteland painter. )

Rick, Lion-7 looks absolutely fantastic! I was looking at every inch of that large version and couldn't believe the detail. Did you actually reference Firefly or is that just a coincidence? Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. I wish I had a basement or gameroom where a huge, framed version of your work could hang, but it was hard enough getting the wife to accept the Balrog and T-800 in the TV room. :D

Hey all fans of Rick, does anyone like his Wasteland 2 logo treatment more than the "official" logo? Because I sure do!

See ya tomorrow guys!

Kudos! And, great piece, man.

You know, I heard talk among wastelanders about this shiny, loud place they called Lazy Ion 7, but I never was able to find it... until now: L(azy)ion 7. It really is a place to be.

Again, thanks for sharing.

Long time ago when i was young i saw on the black market the VHS cassete with animations film (yes... i been very progressive child and know what hidden under the term "black market" from an early age. If my ma & pa know about it - they probably punish me... i think so... but is not happen).

VHS cassete have a name "Space Adventure Cobra" 1982. Of course i buy it. One more time after that learned how important music. When the Fallout was released with Mark Morgan music. Then I knew nothing about the Fallout.

Official movie trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r46ZMArjQ0
Page on IMDb
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0163494/

In the "Space Adventure Cobra" i first heard the unique music tracks by YELLO - "Night Train" & "Do it". Perfect animation film, beautiful music... it's blow my head.
In USSR people knew little about the countries abroad, little know about the work of artists, musicians and writers. It was a strange time. All these pieces of other people's worlds can be bought only on the black markets. It was real treasure and big problem for owners of it's culture treasures. I remember a time when people got in prison for having sold these pieces of another life.

"Night Train" & "Do it" by YELLO on my new Facebook Cover.

I see the rail nomads have stopped pulling with beasts of burden. I wonder how the conductor feels about it. :)
