Hey guys.

Real happy you're doing this.

Just a short question here before I expand my thoughts elsewhere:

Me and some friends wonder if the 50 dollar donation does that include international shipping?
Also for principles sake if one would like to donate (alot) more and actually make this fan-funding thing popular:

Do you have any serious estimates/guarantees as you would have and need to present to a real publisher.
Your estimation is that the game will be done by 2013. What is this based upon?
What cost estimates have you made that 900 000 dollars will be enough, etc?

If you had read the Kickstarter project page, you would have seen that it states, that one should add $15 for international shipping.

Also you can bet your ass that they made a financial plan for all of this.
It's a different thing whether they want to share it with you.

What do you mean with you?
Aren't you a fan/funder? Then what are you doing here?

If you are, then why don't you say us?

PS: Thanks, I did not see the FAQ! Didn't expect it to be at the bottom of the page.

I mean the singular form, as in you alone. Not the plural form.

I'm a fan and I would like to pledge $115, but will only do so after they announced, that native GNU/Linux support is guaranteed upon reaching a specific funding goal.

I'm not in question here, only the questioner. I'm not asking for inside-access to it. That would probably require direct investment relations and a bigger sum than even the biggest one listed there.

What I am asking from them and in essence all future projects that ask for fan funding from all developers is that they treat us as real, potential investors as much as it is possible without jeopardizing the integrity of the project(s).

I'm lacking this all over the spectrum but if Inxile would be the first to truly take this bold and serious step perhaps the rest would follow to. And it would guarantee alot of publicity!

Maxztt, you can pledge the $115, the moment you pledge, nothing will be charged to your credit card, that will only happens 33 days from now, and if the project gets fully funded. In the meantime, at any point in time actually, you can "MANAGE YOUR PLEDGE", it's a big button that appears after you pledged, so you can increase or decrease in whatever quantity you'd like. You can even completely cancel your pledge if the Linux support is not available.

So my sugestion: make the pledge now, keep looking for the updates, if Linux support is no available by the end, simply take your pledge off and keep your money.

This is great it's really picking up steam again. I'm in Australia - GMT+10 - and it slowed down a lot last night, but must be the time zones. I reckon we'll see 900k today, now. Which would rock!

Re. the project plan - that's not a bad idea be interesting to see. DF didn't share that AFAIK. But I was happy enough with the 6 months planning 12 months dev estimate - they've been making games for yonks I'm confident they know what they're doing.

Yes, I know how it works. But I want to make it very clear to the developers, that my pledge is gained due to the addition of GNU/Linux support. So once they announce it, my pledge is in. (Obviously even if it's below the sum that would be required for the GNU/Linux support, since I'd obviously want the funding to reach that point.)
I basically want a "We will definitely do it if we get enough money".
Right now it's a "We might do it if our chosen engine supports it, maybe.".

If I'd pledge right now it'd not have the same effect. (I guess they have statistics about the number of pledges and how they raise, broken down to certain site updates and so on)
Also there is the danger that I forget about the pledging, and then end up with a 100 dollar Windows/Mac game, that I can't really use in the way in which I want to use it.

Pledged $65! (I love me some fancy maps!)

Here's hoping we get to Mac OSX support, just seems right somehow. I was a huge fan of Fallout 1&2, but never got around to playing Wasteland as it was slightly before my time. Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!
