That was a pretty impressive name. Wouldn't mind seeing it or an Ion Beamer.

What would be a real challenge, though, would be seeing his take on Finster's Mind Maze.

I'm going to have to back the idea of Rangers duking it out with several gangers/mutants/cyborgs. Details can go a long way though..

Imagine the decayed, overgrown cityscape of Los-Angeles, a group of Rangers is pinned down behind abandoned cars and concrete road-divides, as their attackers fire from a dilapidated building overseeing the broken street. Behind the barriers, a wounded Ranger lays strewn on the ground as a bloodied medic with a large backpack teeming with medical supplies laid beside him (Being unable to extract any wounded, all medical care would likely be done in the field) works to dress his wounds. Nearby, several other Rangers squat behind cover, trading fire with their rifles and grenades. They're not the only ones sending lead down range, as the impact of rounds hit the ground/barriers/cars around them. Small muzzle flashes can be seen through empty window in the shade cast by the occupied building, and even through the rising smoke of a detonated grenade near the base of the building.

However, it's the Rangers aim that proved to be truer, as the bodies of a group of g/m/c/j's lay lifelessly on the street some 50-70 meters from the Rangers, presumably the result of an ill-fated advance. Farther still, one of their comrades attempts to drag the body of one of the g/m/c/j's into the building that the rest are hold up in. Their probable cause of death, a light-machinegun set up ontop of a blown out building adjacent to the rest of the rest of the Rangers, pours arcing rounds of tracer into the enemy-building diagonal to it. Below them to their right, what can only be the squad leader, yells above the sound of gun-fire to the MG up top, perhaps trying to adjust their arc of fire. To his right, a crouched Ranger balances a large energy weapon atop a concrete dividers, aimed toward the hostile-building. A thick assortment of cables and wires stick out from the weapon, leading to a large boxy energy cell on the ground. He carefully peers through its scope. The end of its barrel glows red.

But in the distance, its another sunny mid-afternoon. Through the blasted concrete and steel jungle below, a pillar of smokes rises in the distance, perhaps of another shootout, somewhere else in the City of Angels.

-----

Err, hope its not too serious/detailed. But I love some well done actions portraits.

For those NOT familiar with Wasteland, the 'Ranger HQ' was merely the 'starting point' of the game. There you were presented with 4 pre-fab Ranger PC 'characters'... from there the game could begin, OR the player could delete ANY/ALL of them AND create up to a maximum of 4 characters (randomly created attributes), of their own, to begin the game.

Think I'd like to see some samples of the concept art for:
Ranger PC characters
'Recruits' NPC characters
'Adversaries' - animals, creatures, human/humanoid, & robotic
samples of basic armor / weapons (leather jacket / bullet-proof shirt & clip pistols)

I know the game, but there's no reason that it can't be fleshed out in W2, even if it is just a nod. It was important to the story, and it still could represent a jumping off point before California, or have some other purpose in the new stories.

Biggest flaw in the game i think. Plus i think you'll probably start out Wasteland 2 at Ranger HQ.

I would simply like to see a piece depicting the Rangers in combat.

Something that illustrates the 'call to action'

Background: bunch of slavers and slaves
Foreground: hiding ranger with binoculars

I'd like something that really captures the mood or tone of what Wasteland 2 will be. Will it be similar to Fallout? To New Vegas' wild-west theme? To Cormac McCarthy's "The Road"? Will it be more like Mad Max 1 (yay) or Mad Max 3 (boo)?

A settlement scene would be good for this I think. Maybe showing a trading hub, with lots of factions and races on display. Or not, as the case may be.

I really want to see something funny... there's always so much serious concept art, I want to see something with a sense of humor...

I totally agree with harold. Seeing more of the wasteland landscapes, maybe with the Rangers, would be nice. I would also love to see the life underground (if there is one), e.g. in the canalisation.

Ruined city with roaming mutants, wrecked cars, debris and with the distinct figures of rangers with the sun going down on the horizon in the background.
