I am so psyched. This is amazing.
We may not be thinking about it as such, but we're changing how game development is done.
So now that we're basically assured a mod/construction kit, what is everyone going to make?
I've been thinking about finally having my non-ranger start, as well as more graffiti everywhere. Commanding a raider army Mad Max style would be pretty fun. Also switching the game to a FPS where you shoot vampires who wear red boots :3

I've been thinking of it as that since donating to Double Fine's. It's why I've pledged money to so many of the game projects up atm even though I'm broke from just moving across the country . The future potential of this really excites me, the funding bubble we're seeing atm will burst sooner or later but that's the awesome thing of kicking it forward it basically guarantees a second sustaining bubble for this funding style if the first wave succeeds (which we all have faith it will ^_^). So the more money we give these 'first bubble' titles the better they are when released, the more profit they make, the more filters back into the next wave, the better games we get then. ^_^

We can do it... Come on......... I love mods... (But for the love of god.. Please DON'T let the first mod be a nude mod.. Ala Fallout 3, Skyrim, Oblivion and all the other games out there with decent mod communities... Really.. If you want porn, download it. It will be with real people and better resolution.) So many awesome mod communities out there..

There's one way to avoid the nude mod, and that's to build nudity into the game from the start! Why not anyway? We're not all 13 year olds I think we can handle it. (no pun intended!)

No. Steam is only for Mac OS X and Windows. To cover PC Desura would be necessary.
But I prefer direct download link or a torrent anyway.

While the body replacement mods are embarrassing I hope someone adds a settler mode to WL2. Civ Apocalypse.

1 copy does not mean one operating system. If the digital distributor you got your game on supports it, you could play your copy on all platforms.

Additionally, they'll try to get the binaries on the CD, if there's enough space available.
