Had trouble deciding how to vote, because the option for expanded character dialogue includes expanded character voice acting. While I'd like the former, I'm not keen on heavy investment in the latter.

Don't worry. We are talking about voice acting like FO2 or BG2. Pretty sure Brian clarified in a video or interview.

A larger world will definitely be awesome. A mod kit will also help for this, as, with the right tools, fans like us will be able to bring their ideas into wasteland's world (here is an example of what has been made by a strong community). And following the same idea, voice acting can be made by fans too, if necessary (I don't think it is really necessary anyway. I mean, having some "talking heads" like in Fo1 and 2 is nice, but I can live without).

An old school 8 bit version would be nice, but it could be an idea for a "demake", and it would be a waste of time and money to have it done at the same time and by the same team that already does the main game.

I'd like to have some enhanced special effects too, but I think it can be very time consuming for developers, if it is done procedurally by the game engine (and I already voted for 5 more important other things anyway).

The pen and paper game and other goodies would be very interesting to go with, but I think it's something which would have to be done after the release of the game.

About the iPhone and Android game, I might be a little paranoiac, but I don't really like those platforms. And in addition, I don't think they are good platforms for video games either. More than that, too me, it would be satirical to make a version of a great game on these platforms.

And for the rest, I voted on it (enhanced and extended audio and graphics, additional artworks, ...)

The mobile platforms are more than capable now of handling a game like Wasteland, the real question would be how much would have to be scaled back to fit the platform. You can dig up as many links for windows vulnerabilities but that doesn't seem to stop people from using windows in large masses. Same goes for the mobile platforms. Though I do agree, the main focus should be on PC, Mac & Linux.

I would like a lot of dialogue(and dialogue/plot/quest etc choices), fully voice acted or not doesn't concern me much, though voice enhances it. A larger world and more content is always good, but it wouldn't do to take away from plot and characters or gameplay mechanics.

A mod kit of course would be awesome as would be enhanced graphics, but again the lattest doesn't concern me much as long as they are enjoyable, atmospheric and playable(which they will be anyways :D )!

Lastly NPC portraits and equipment artwork are always a plus!

Lots of dialogue is definitely a must. In RPGs that can be make or break the atmosphere. I couldn't stand Morrowind for instance because there was no real illusion to make the NPCs feel real. It was like walking through that Animatronics exhibit at Disney where you push a button to hear JFK spit out a canned line about going to the moon.

the victory will go
to the one that knows how to yield...

I had originally said this in another thread to try to redirect some folks into positive discussion, but it seems rather appropriate here too, though I am taking points away for quoting myself:

"This is all so exciting as the clock runs down. We know we're getting a game and it'll be something we can dream of until we get it and know we won't be disappointed. My only wishes at this point are to see the 3M mark and, regardless of the final total, we get the creation kit.

I'm sure some of you may be a little skeptical on this, I know I was at first myself, but my recent experience within the modding community has opened my eyes to a world of possibilities - I have had the privilege of working with and testing for some very talented folks that create content for the games they play because they enjoy creating and want to share their hobby and talents with others that enjoy the same game. I've chatted with folks who spent their vacation time from work to put in 18 hour days to finish a series of connected maps that was bigger than anything included in the game by leaps and bounds, a gal who put together and voiced her own companion that made romance in the wasteland seem believable. I've been part of a team that developed an ammo reloading system, part of which became a community resource that was picked up by another modder and turned into even more amazing work. I can attest from firsthand experience of people working together to add even more to a game, possibly more than the developers imagined possible.

... let's see what we can do for Wasteland 2 together. The only limits we have are the ones we place on ourselves."

Advanced A.i is kind of a vague term for a turn based combat game. Do you have any examples of advanced A.i for a turn based combat game?

More random acts performed by Friendly AI. Brian has said some of your recruited companions might act differently & unexpected and Advanced AI could mean more of this. Could apply more of this to enemies too maybe? Or improved pathing & decision making for enemies. They could do different things in certain situations depending on your health, their health, how many ppl are close to them, flanking? baiting & setting up traps against you? ambushes? Fleeing, suicidal bombings?

they're only gonna be doing 1 year of production so i really don't know how much they can get done in this time maybe improving AI would be too much. Maybe more coders could be an option

you've got the point
I want (N)PCs act more naturaly according to current situation depending on their personalities
in other words I want more behavior patterns for (N)PCs

A.i should definitely have been an option considering how time intensive it is code. With the extra money, 1/2/3 extra A.i coders could have been bought and set to work on advanced A.i, which the player would definitely have noticed. Demand for this may also have encouraged the team to use time saving A.i middleware and a game engine that supports it.

i'd like to change one of my votes to another AI coder since i've seen horrible AI break games and i know its a hard thing to program.

well, the moar graphics option depends... if the game looks great with low budget we shouldn't improve it. But if the visuals should suffer from the budget limits, then improve it as the budget expands.

One thing is clear for me - more music and larger and deeper world is the must.

It's the basic gameplay mechanics that are the most important part, really. Everything else should come second in my book.

I voted for a Larger world and more content, Enhanced NPC portraits and equipment artwork and the Mod kit. I'd like to see more character dialogue too but I don't care about voice acting, it's nice but not if it comes at the expense of other content. Similarly with audio and graphics, they are nice but I'd prefer more refined gameplay mechanics and a larger world to explore.

As for the various other platforms, they are good ideas but again shouldn't take away from the main PC focus. If the main game is successful, it can branch out, but at this point it seems like jumping the gun.
