[Bad Memory] Falling in the river!

I suppose this is both a good and bad memory. Walking into the river when one party member couldn't swim ... twenty minutes latter I manage to crawl out of the river after it runs into the lake. Funny thing is this happened many times. First time I could understand, "hmm, what happens when I go in the river?"

I'm also trying to remember why it seems to have happened more than once and can't... I do however remember that incapacitated characters could die like this, making it all the more annoying

Heya! It happened to me several times too, while I was exploring sewers under the Temple of Mushroom Cloud. Before I realized how and where to attach the rope, my brave rangers stepped in the smelly water, have been washed-up out of sewers, infected with nasty Sewer rot disease.
Damn you, Faran Brygo! It was you who have sent me there.

Yup, my party fell into the stream in the sewers and got infected, but they also gained 1 or 2 levels in the Swim skill each.
