There is 0% chances.
EA doesn't interested to move for such small money like Wasteland 1/2 can make. :(

I wouldn't be so sure. After all, they have released some of their old games on GOG, including games as old as Ultima 1:

From InXile's comments, it sounds like they have been in touch with EA about it, they never sounded completely hopeless.

That's just me speculating though. I have no idea if it's likely to be released, but it's not hopeless to think EA and InXile can work together for it.

$1.5M achieved!

This means that the world will be a lot larger, Linux and OS X are coming! But what will happen from now on? In what ways can the game be improved beyond now?

Pretty excited at this, it's amazing how much difference for the better a developer that cares and communicates directly with the gamers makes.

We expect there will be Desura and GOG :)

Can we get confirmation that it will be Linux and Mac NATIVE and not run through some translation library like WINE.

Well hate to disappoint you, but they'll be shipping for all platforms at the same time.

Now, quit hating on the smaller platforms.
yes, I'm an Apple fan... no, I don't hate other platforms... no, I don't own any other systems besides a MBA, an iPhone and and iPad... <sarcasm>but seriously, why would anyone own anything else :)</sarcasm>

Sadly I too have been stung too many times to take the risk and therefore won't pledge my $50 until it's confirmed that it'll be a NATIVE Linux version, and not a Windows version wrapped in a "works today" copy of wine.

Yeah, the wording on the description of the prizes sounds weird to me -- just give me all the copies, Humble Indi Bundle style. Not that it matters to me that much -- I'll play only the Linux version anyway.

Only 8 hours to go, I take it they aren't going to answer questions like this :/

We know they're looking at Unigine, which is a specialized engine that - if anything - works better on Linux than an PC, and is a Mac multiplatform engine as well. No translation libraries. As far as I know, this was one of the things they definitely wanted from an engine candidate.

Sorry I don't have an official answer for you, but in the (fairly likely) case it is Unigine or a similar multi-platform, it should have proper ports.

Well, I decided to take a chance, pledging my $50 so here's hoping. I was an early purchaser of Oil Rush and can say that the Unigine engine is pretty damn awesome. Whether or not it could handle LARGE playing areas though I'm not sure. Most of the Oil Rush levels are fairly small (think Starcraft). Obviously this wouldn't be an issue if it supports some kind of progressive loading or you just go the diablo style of having small interconnected levels.

Anyway, if any of the developers see this, PLEASE make it native Linux as hoping for this is the ONLY reason you got my $50 :D I would also hope more attention will be paid to queries in the forums during development.

I'm still confused by the "OR".

Will you only get one version or will you get all of them?

Thinking of playing the game on Mac and PC (notebook, desktop) and swapping my savegames.

Seems like all OS versions of Wasteland 2 will be available on Steam. I think that's good. Though it would be also good to remember other cross-platform-Linux-including distributors like Desura.

This depends fully on the retailer. If you download straight from inXile's webstore, you can only download as one platform, namely the one you specified to them.

If you unlock on Steam, they will utilize SteamPlay, which means you can play on both Mac and PC. And yes, Linux too, if these are in Steam's plans. Desura should definitely be an option.

The thing is, dedicated retailers like Steam and Desura can easily offer options like these, since that's their job. And when they do, inXile fully intends to make use of them. But by themselves, Steam does not have the retailer clout to manage options like these, they're only a small developing house after all.

Come on... Just provide the game as binary + data. The binary will be platform dependent and small, so I claim this point is rather moot.
