It's a great picture, I like the style. Would wish a bit more colour. Brown is an understandable colour-choice, but I'd wish there would be.. a bit more.
I know that the bombs did a lot of stuff when they fell, but they didn't magically turn everything brown. When I think Wasteland, I think of old spagetti-westerns. There's a lot of brown (dust), but underneath it all there are colours in the clothes, in the buildings, some of them originally even pretty vibrant, but dulled down by continuous exposure to sun and weather. In some places, where the environment isn't so exposed to nature (such as indoors or or places where more upkeep can be done), the colours could be more vibrant, maybe even shockingly so.
Someone above pointed that the picture portraits men in army-, police- and firefighter-uniforms. While I understand that the army-guy should be wearing brown, I thought cops wore blue and firemen red and yellow. Of course these colours would be dulled from years of exposure to the sun, but in the picture it seems that all these uniforms were cut from the same cloth.
This in turn makes us miss the details. After all, if the colours are same, perhaps the details are as well? I don't ask for the C64-colour scheme, but please think
The Man With No Name in a bit more modern get-up?
Or these guys if they didn't have change to buy new clothes every day.
