Other then that, it looks very promising up to 100USD but from there its kinda difficult to justify more then that. Except from the signatures :P

Europeans shouldn't really complain about shipping anyway. Cross-atlantic shipping costs and arm and a leg but with the weak dollar we're paying less (in our money) anyway.

As is usually the case with Kickstarter, the very high tiers are all glory tiers. There isn't really a way to justify such donations in what you get back, it's for people who feel passionate about the project and want to donate extra, and finding fitting little tributes for them.

Can we have a DRM free option made available to those who want it?.Will the DVD be DRM free ?
Not everyone is a fan of Steam/Origin :/.

That's a good question - will the boxed version be DRM free or will it also require Steam?

I did wonder before I posted, and have been a huge ignoramus and not really bothered to look into it!

I think the $100 pledge will do me fine, the jump above those doesn't seem worthwhile based on my income/expenditure. Would like to know what will happen re: international postage!

Don't like the idea of the extra skill and weapon. Please keep the game the same for all players.

It seems I will be spending $100...I would love to buy the $250 one, but +150 just for signatures is not that interesting...

Also, I'm sure the shipping to Brazil will be insane and it will end up costing a fortune...

hmm, I think there are some redundant steps there,
OST, i'm not one for it
cloth map and manual also

The most appealing thing for me its the NPC etc, it would rock to give traits to that NPC

Returning to the subject
I think its better if you would put a price for each feature, so each and everyone picks what he likes
redundancy kills the fun. buying stuff you don't want :)

thanks

Perhaps it would be better, but it's not how Kickstarter works.

DRM free would be nice, but it's probably a seperate issue to the Kickstarter levels. The game will be DRM free or it won't, whether or not you support via Kickstarter shoudln't make any difference.

I like the levels personally, and have no issue with a couple of exclusive items. I've been thinking since the start I'd probably pick the $100 level (or thereabouts) and I'm happy with what that particular level offers.

I'm not sure I understand, but if you mean what I think you mean ("pick the bits you want and pay for the total"), well, that's not possible with Kickstarter, nor is it practical with box creation/shipping/keeping track of who gets what.

Agree with the less trinkets.

How about replace some of those with a WL2 themed T-shirt or a cinema-style poster (like the excellent L4D2 "movie" posters)? Then you could get free publicity to boot.

Ambivalent on DRM-free and in-game items. Steam copy of the released game is fine with me.

Really dig the Stackpole novellas!

On one hand, I understand the concern over limited-availability extended goodies--but on the other, we are talking about paying $15 to know you will get a full copy of the game AND get an extra skill and weapon that will not be available to normal purchasers (who are probably going to pay more than $15, too). If it were only in the higher-tiers, I would more easily understand the concern.

I do agree though that the $30 donation point will probably not attract much attention. Not because there are not people who want it, but because those people will probably want even more. Or I could be speaking for myself.

The novella sounds exciting, though, and t-shirts and cinematic posters also seem appropriate, as Yllandian said. I have an enormous framed version of the Wasteland cover painting, and I imagine whatever you get for Wasteland 2 would fit nicely next to it.

I love the idea of a cloth game map; I hope it appears partially burned and poorly glued together in parts or something similar (or goes the complete opposite direction and is a pristine beautiful pre-war map with crude scribbles over the "old" map indicating modern reality).

The higher-level rewards all sound suitably dramatic. Though I cannot wait to see the assorted statuary fit into the game (maybe the Ranger Center will have a nice garden!). Maybe add a "single highest donation" tier for a post-apocalyptic version of yourself to become an integral part of the storyline (or being featured prominently in Wasteland 3 :)).

This is rough. I said to myself that I would seriously consider $500, but then, if I can just talk myself into seriously considering $500 twice, suddenly I can be in the game!

Maybe include a second, unsigned collector's edition in the $500 tier, so one can be opened and the other left sealed? Or include all the extras from the collector's edition in the survival kit?

Indeed, I can see people thinking "I can get the soundtrack from the game's files anyway".

I think the minimum Price of the Game should be higher. 15 bucks for the "normal" full game, seems too cheap to me (30 should be fine, or 25 if you really want to sell it "cheap").

The 50$ Version is just like what it should be (though as in europe there is normaly a 1 to 1 conversion it's actually still cheap).

What I am missing here are posters and art. I am not talking about artbooks though.
It would be great if you could put one or multiple posters in one of the boxes. I think it would also be a good Idea to add something like "original concept art" into the boxes. Maybe something smaller for the "normal" boxes, and some really awesome stuff for the really high contributors. I am talking about pictures which you then could frame and put on your wall.
Being B/W scetches or some colored stuff (as long as you see it's from Wasteland and not a sketch of a rubber duck, or wait..even that would be cool). I mean someone is going to draw them anyways, so why not giving them away after the product is finished?
As you might know Adam Adamoowicz's Art was released some days/weeks ago. And there is really some awesome stuff, and especially collectors would probably value this kind of stuff pretty high.

I also like the Idea of buying multiple copies at once for the higher amounts.

But I am really wondering what a world looks like if you put in:
150+100+15+8= 273 NPCs named after supporters
15+8= 23 statues of supporters
I mean...this will look pretty packed, won't it?

Wanted to go with $100 first, but now I am actually thinking about $250. Not much a fan of the first tier special skill either. I don't care about the weapon, it's just the skill which is worrying to me.

Maybe the skill will be toaster repair?

Beta is included in the $75 reward (and above).

Well, if it's toaster repair, I might want it to be unique and not available for everyone, that's quite a hook. :p

I think they could sell the game at release for 25 or 30, but to encourage people to donate, 15 is a good starting point to get the game 'free'. The 15 dollar 'price point' in the DF KickStarter was almost as important as the 30 dollar one.

But I am really wondering what a world looks like if you put in:

Statues are alright, if they're not gigantic and many end up close together. The NPCs sound really overkill though, hehe. At that rate, every NPC in the game will be named after a funder. Then again, maybe the Wasteland will just be huge.

It's safe to say the special skill is a bad idea but the weapon could just be a reskin; something which identifies us without changing it's base stats.

I vote for a gold plated handgun!
