On one hand, I understand the concern over limited-availability extended goodies--but on the other, we are talking about paying $15 to know you will get a full copy of the game AND get an extra skill and weapon that will not be available to normal purchasers (who are probably going to pay more than $15, too). If it were only in the higher-tiers, I would more easily understand the concern.
I do agree though that the $30 donation point will probably not attract much attention. Not because there are not people who want it, but because those people will probably want even more. Or I could be speaking for myself.
The novella sounds exciting, though, and t-shirts and cinematic posters also seem appropriate, as Yllandian said. I have an enormous framed version of the Wasteland cover painting, and I imagine whatever you get for Wasteland 2 would fit nicely next to it.
I love the idea of a cloth game map; I hope it appears partially burned and poorly glued together in parts or something similar (or goes the complete opposite direction and is a pristine beautiful pre-war map with crude scribbles over the "old" map indicating modern reality).
The higher-level rewards all sound suitably dramatic. Though I cannot wait to see the assorted statuary fit into the game (maybe the Ranger Center will have a nice garden!). Maybe add a "single highest donation" tier for a post-apocalyptic version of yourself to become an integral part of the storyline (or being featured prominently in Wasteland 3

).
This is rough. I said to myself that I would seriously consider $500, but then, if I can just talk myself into seriously considering $500 twice, suddenly I can be in the game!
