Besides, if the goal of this project is to develop a game strong on content and gameplay more than on art, then the iPhone can work as well as a full PC.

It's such a logic nonsense that I have no words. Where I should play on ipad? Driving the car in traffic jam? Working at the office? Maybe - at home? Ah, no, I have a good PC at home, why should I use ipad, eh?

Or I could suggest the people who are funding this recall the original game and want a party-based tactical RPG as promised, and I'm not sure iOS devices will allow for the complexity in controls the game might require. I don't want a very basic bastardized version of Wasteland just because I can carry it on my phone.

Why do you take it as a given that an iPad/iPhone is not up to providing a "full" Wasteland experience. If you ever played the original, then you know that a fun _and_ complex game does not need a complex interface.

Once you will have a family you will know that sitting 1-2 hours in front of a pc in the evening after work is just a big no-no.

I have a family, why do you think I haven't? Because I don't think the same way you do? I just wonder where you're gonna sitting with iphone or ipad. Or you're just gonna play 5 minutes/day?

While I may concede that the small screen of an iPhone may be limiting, I do not see what can hamper the development of a nice rpg interface on the iPad. So, maybe it has not been done yet, but there is no reason for that to stay the same forever.

The lack of a keyboard? With a keyboard I can assign controls to a number of keys. With an iOS device I have only touch. You honestly can't see how that might limit the interface?
