Damn, so I guess I'm going to have to change my location. Especially since, 'your mom' isn't a valid location. ;) :)

I just used my real name. I was going to use my screen name but I wanted it to seem official.

Hi Joby, do you folks know if there is the intent to have flavor text accompany items like weapons? I'm debating on my choice for the naming tier and knowing this would be a huge help :).

Thanks!

So you used "your mom" as location and afterwards your real name because you wanted it to seem official? Seems legit;)

I didn't find anything else to fill to other than request for ePub version of Novella.

I understand that this may not be decided on yet, but even if the answer is "we don't know yet" I would greatly appreciate knowing exactly what accompanying info to submit beyond the name :).

We'll be finalizing the details later and allow you to submit more definite and final versions as this is fleshed out better... but if you can, just give us an idea of the kind of thing you are thinking so we can get a big picture view of how everyone's input can be incorporated. Thanks!

Would it be possible to get a thumbnail photo of yourself next to your name in the credits?

This would make excellent proof that it was you and not just someone with the same name.

Imagine your friends faces as they see your name and photo scroll up in the credits.

Don't want to see that personally. Use a nickname ("aka") if required.

So I got this e-mail yesterday, I figure it's related;

Hello PayPal Backers!

We wanted to send a heads up that we recently sent out the Kickstarter surveys for rewards. Our PayPal backers will have the ability to choose these rewards in the very near future as we are setting up a master Wasteland 2 backer database. In this database, you’ll be able to input the information we need and modify your reward if you’d like. This will be live soon and we’ll send out an email telling you how to log in. All users who pledged during our drive will be on the same playing field. Thanks for your patience!

Don't forget to get involved in the Wasteland 2 development by being a regular visitor and contributor to our forums: index.php

You can also read our latest announcements on our blog: http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/blog/

Be sure to Like our Facebook page and be part of our community of Wasteland 2 fans over at Ranger HQ: https://www.facebook.com/Ranger.HQ

But what about Twitter, you ask? Be sure to follow inXile entertainment's Brian Fargo: http://twitter.com/#!/BrianFargo

Thanks for your support!

inXile

I'm curious what "modify your reward if you’d like" means. Can we send more money to up our reward tier or something?

Yes, we will be able to upgrade our donation and reward tier.

I lost out on the change of tiers to include the extra ranger profile pictures. I'm hoping they'll be available for Kickstarters at some point to be able to buy. It has been a thorn in my side.

Can someone explain us how statues and shrines will work into the setting and stuff?

Maybe the question has already been answered elsewhere, but I wondered if it will be possible to select different platforms for the games you get, e.g.
boxed game -> Windows
download 1 -> Mac OSX
download 2 -> Linux

Also, you probably won't be picking download versions until you're actually downloading the game.

Regarding names, there was a project I pledged to, Dinocalypse Now, where backers were asked for names to put in the book credits. I just gave my real name (don't know why I never put "ET3D" there, as that's what most of the world knows me as), but someone put Willow “Dinosaurs and apocalypse? How could I NOT back it?” Wood and it's actually in the book (alongside more mundane ones such as Richard “Cap’n Redshanks” McLean, Taylor “The Snarky Avenger” Kent and Joe “Gasoline” Czyz.

I just want some clarification on this rating survey. Apart from localized language versions will there only be one version of the game released without restrictions and missing content.

I am sick of buying games and finding out they have been censored; therefore needing one to troll the web for hours looking for assets, content, hacks and mods to add such things back; like blood, gore and missing text/conversations.

In the end it is better to lie in the survey so to get the true version. I have already answered honestly but having talked about it with other local W2 kickstarter backers, they will not be answering the survey until this is made a lot clearer.

We want the director's cut and not the politically correct cut!
