Well done everybody! :D

There is no way this'll end under 3 mill' at this point. I'd estimate 5 million is the most likely sum.

Feels good to have helped bring this project to life. And damn did everyone do it in style.

I assume plenty of work has already begun on the game, guess we gotta wait for another month to get a official announcement that production has started? Oh well. Congrats team on reaching your goal. Now lets go for 2 million and call it corn bread.

It's a reasonable argument; however, let's not forget that we're still in day 2 of this project. I mean, sure, the people over at inXile were hoping for a positive response (they wouldn't have started the Kickstarter project otherwise) but, even taking into consideration the amazing success of the DFA project, I don't think that many would be certain of such an amazing result in the first 48 hours.

Having said that, it's only natural that the community will be looking (thirsting :)) for extra information and it stands to reason that the more concrete this information, the easier for people who are still on the fence (and let us not forget we are not experiencing the best economic environment) to make the decision to pledge.

So, I'm not sure how specific the inXile team can be with what would be feasible with various levels of extra funding (DF is still in "early pre-production" and they had a guaranteed result for over a month) but it would certainly help to have some information.

hi new here, I pledged $50 but I might be tempted to go higher at some point, maybe get the CE edition

but congrats on getting to the required goal, I hope it reaches 1.5 mill in a day or two

I loved fallout 1 and 2, but sadly never played wasteland, so I do like these types of games, and can't wait for this one

lets keep the money flowing in, the more the better, and still a lot of time before the funding period ends

if I was a better man, I would say, this will hit 2 mill min, but I think there is a strong chance of this going even higher still

congrats to the team, this game is going to happen, rather then remain a distant dream

Can't wait to discover this bit by bit. The first screens, videos... 18 months of excruciating teasing...

Does anybody else find it hilarious that nobody seems to want an actual exploded blood sausage? As of this moment, we have 0 backers at the $2,500 level.

Maybe if they have enough money left over, they can buy the rights to X-Com.

Good stuff. This was the most ambitious Kickstarter goal ever, right? Not even the Double Fine project came close. I think this is an important sign not only for the future of this game, but of video game marketing as a whole. When you let an audience of consumers indirectly participate in the design of a game, you're offering them an experience that can't be borrowed or pirated or picked up in some cheap deal on Steam. This is a new way of doing business, one that treats customers as partners in a complex development process rather than some sheep that need to be bled dry. We're not giving donations, we're making investments.

The contributions will inevitably slow down now that we've hit the initial goal, but if the Double Fine project was any indication, money should continue to trickle in and then rapidly increase again as we approach the due date. Given the rate at which donations have come in so far, I'm making an educated guess that we'll end up with $2.5 million - $3 million in total funds. Not bad for an RPG I'm sure the vast majority of backers have never played the prequel to.

Yep +1. I'm stoked, now WL2 is getting made for sure.

Also - yeah what's up with the blood sausage perk? Maybe need to redo that one or explain it better to make it more attractive.

I agree, its not really clear whats included and what you get... But then again, no one could expect how fast the money would come in.

There are 4 left on the 1000$ Pledge right now, perhaps you could convert some over to that one?

Also, adding new Pledges when you get closer to the last day could be a good idea.
