Old term for various trinkets included with the game. Things like a cloth map or a coin. I believe the term originated with the Ultima series.

I always thought it came from Infocom, but I could be wrong.

oh....cloth map would be nice to have but i'd only buy it if it was 2 sided so it as a do-rag when i feel like it

Ah, that's right, it was Infocom. Ultima just stands out because they did a really good job with it.
