That's really busy, took me a moment to see the underlying original image.

Its very anime-esque for me, very ethereal with the floating beasties etc.... I kinda like that sort of thing... The idea of the fantastical beauty of it. Kind of how they did it with avatar and all the glowing things.

I'm _still_ not seeing it.

Makes me think of those dot-pictures to test a person for color-blindness. "What do you see in this picture?"

Right in the middle you have the Rangers walking down the street. It's like you're looking through a quarter mile of overgrown vegetation.

Somehow, I imagined them to be .... taller. ;)

I seem to recall that the Wasteland was mostly Mojave Desert. Where's all the water coming from to make those plants so succulent? Hmm. Mutant rain maybe?

Well, it was centered on the Colorado river, with what is probably Lake Havasu at the bottom. There was plenty of vegetation in the game.

Thanks BUT...

If this is inspired by anything it is the western artists fantasy art - in general.
Because those are the artists and works that i come from as far as drawing is concerned.

No anime there and especially no "avatar" there.
Of course i understand why it may seem so but it really isnt.

Really? Then how do you see the drawing? It is mostly green you know?
Want a nice desaturated black and white version?
Yellow and blue? Pink and brown?
:P

This is "Chaga".

http://www.infinityplus.co.uk/nonfiction/chaga.htm

Its more than a forest. Much...much more.
It doesnt need a river or water. It can make its own. Atom by atom if necesarry.
(of course there is always water deep under ground where the deep roots can reach it anyway).
-edit- you know that black nano goo from stupid prometheus movie? Chaga would eat it for breakfast.

The trees are some of the California Sequoias that survived the war but they have been taken over, rebuilt, incorporated and enhanced into a symbiotic relationship with Chaga.

Anyway... this looks much better in full resolution but because its still quite unfinished i had to reduce the size.
Should be done in a ...ahem... month...or two?
