Some Russian person commented on that video and say it was awesome and classy. Very nice instrumental track. I agree with them.

They could be synth? I don't know,I don't recall growling noises but I got really hammered last night. I was wearing a cowboy hat and firing a gun into the air yelling that I love America. Good times, though I should mention it was only a co2 bb gun. Ignore the fact that I do stuff like that completely sober.

EDIT: Also I finished that track I had posted the start to before. I'm calling it finished because I got sick while making it and my health kind of effected the process. I ended up changing it around 3 or 4 times entirely. :S http://youtu.be/lD3u-JUePGU Every time I was unhappy with it and felt like what I had before was better. Now I learned my lesson to save the older versions before making huge changes like that. I decided to end the project at least for now because it made more and more frustrated working on it.

MORE EDIT: Made another track which I'm fairly happy with because I started hitting very close to the sounds I wanted. http://youtu.be/Ve8UWmjBNLs I call it Written in the Bone.

Wow!
i just clicked on this thread to take a quick look and poof! Hours gone listening to the stuff posted here. It's a little bit of "this is my favorite music" thread, but i like it. Found some very interesting stuff.

I prefer dark ambient for wasteland atmosphere, so the first posts really blew me over.

So here is my humble addition:

Teargas and Plateglass - Arkhangelsk:

God Is an Astronaut - Far from Refuge

Nothing wrong with that; we're in the quasi-off-topic section, after all :) .

So, here's our irradiated friends from Finland again:

Beastmilk - "Void Mother"

Beastmilk - "Children of the Atom Bomb"

Just came across this topic, and must admit that I didn't have the courage to look at everything. :P

However, I thought about a very particular artist capturing some magic I could possibly imagine hidden somewhere in the Wasteland, Chelsea Wolfe and her album Ἀποκάλυψις (Apokalypsis) especially:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1KBjgF3J90
There's even a song by the name of The Wasteland ^^:

There are other tracks I would have love to find on Youtube, but that's probably enough like that. ^^
Hope you enjoy. :)

But in the interests of having a little bit more variety, I don't suppose anyone would be willing to give a rap song a chance for a few minutes, would they? I'm pretty sure musical tastes would be just as many and varied in a post apocalyptic world as they are today.

Method Man - Judgement Day

i prefer the instrumental for the wastelands http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhtChYYey2w

to add some classic rock stuff from the wastes:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nB8Mo_7k ... re=related sepultura

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtrL4E9B ... re=related kyuss

but the real sound of the wasteland, is the sound made with a mic and style:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKWTGPNuLlI
this is the music at the end of all days.

Woah - the Cancelled Earth is awesome. I'd heard Lustmord before as the closest thing to this - but thanks to everyone for the recommendations!

Time to dig up the musical grave:

Voïvod's upcoming album Target Earth sounds damn promising.
