  14. What is the current idea or general outline of Wasteland 2? None of this pictures immediately make me think “Ooooo Wasteland!” so I’m curious what the plan is by The Awesome Powers That Be regarding these images. Are these to be cutscenes? Actual stills from the game?

  18. Concept arts? He should make the ingame backgrounds and character sprites. I’d love to play a top-down 2D RPG with Andrées’ artstyle.

    • Just because someone makes really nice concept art does not mean they’re good at animating character sprites or even translating their own concepts into actual game backgrounds. Not saying he isn’t, but it might be the case.

  19. Perfect artworks and very big attention to the details. It is especially good for concepts because even the little details can make the atmosphere more attractive and addictive. And i agree with Karl Zylinski that it is also gives this game huge graphical and style boost.
    We want to see the game with good graphics (but it is not SO important) and soul (it is in priority). Too many games has good visuals…but have no style and soul.
    I sure that everything will turn out.

      • Yes, Karl…But good graphics can attracts more audience for the project. Because in order to interest the gamers today all developers need have something more then only story. And that is true. Sad, but true…

      • I’m all for good graphics! What I mean is that it it’s more important with good concept art and art direction than using all the latest and greatest technology. A game that is a couple of years old with good art direction can look much better than a new game high-tech game with bad art direction.
